Hydro Dam intake inspection (90 Meters).

A hydro dam intake structure in Northern BC presented a textbook confined space challenge. WCB BC confined space regulations made traditional manned entry either impossible or prohibitively complex — requiring extensive safety planning, entry teams, rescue standby crews, and significant downtime. The Elios 3 was deployed into the intake structure, navigating 90 meters through a GPS-denied, zero-visibility environment. The inspection was completed safely with zero confined space entries, full HD visual data, and a 3D point cloud delivered to the client. What previously could not be completed was done in a single deployment.

A 400-barrel storage tank requiring a general condition survey presented the standard confined space entry challenges governed by WCB BC regulations. Entry teams, gas monitoring, rescue standby, and scaffolding would have added high cost and time to what should be a routine inspection. The Elios 3 was deployed internally to capture full HD visual data and a 3D point-cloud animation of the tank interior. The client received a complete condition survey with zero confined space entries, no scaffolding, and no operational downtime.

A hockey arena requiring an internal structural assessment presented access challenges that traditional inspection methods struggle with — high ceilings, complex roof structures, and areas that are inaccessible without expensive elevated work platforms. The Elios 3 was deployed internally, navigating the full structure and capturing detailed visual data and a 3D point cloud of the facility interior. The inspection was completed without scaffolding, lifts, or disruption to facility operations, delivering comprehensive structural data that the client could act on immediately.
